so business isn't your cup of tea?

fortunately, it's mine.

You started a creative business because you love to create, but instead you're spending your days wrangling chaos that never seems to become order, keeping things from falling through the cracks, and doing whatever it takes to keep your head above water.

not exactly what you had in mind when you started this entrepreneurial journey... is it?

You want to spend your time doing the things you do best, delighting the heck out of your clients, and growing you business, but it feels like the rest of it — you know, the business part of a creative business — keeps getting in the way.

what if you could change that?

How would it feel to take two weeks off and ease back into work stress free? Or get to inbox zero not once in a blue moon, but every single week

How would it feel to know your content is scheduled and ready to delight and educate your audience, not minutes or hours, but days or weeks in advance? What if the backend of your business was running like a well-oiled machine, freeing you up to focus on the things that truly matter?

it can happen. and it can happen without a team.

how, you ask?

The reality is, the foundation of any successful business is organization and systems. When you have the right tools and the right systems in place, you get to spend more time doing what you love and way less time on the parts of your business that make you think, “Ugh. I don’t want to work today."

SYSTEMS.

So I come alongside to help you turn that chaos into order, cut the clutter and noise, and streamline your business so every bit of it — from your inbox to your invoicing — works for you, instead of against you.

I’m a firm believer that you should spend your time on the things that you light you up and systemize, automate, or outsource the rest.

I no longer FEAR MY INBOX! I came back from a 2 week vacation where I had no data or wifi. Before Sarah, I would have had over 500 emails to sort, delete, and respond to. With Sarah, I had less than 20 emails I needed to take care of! Happy tears and the deepest sigh of relief are the only two ways I can explain how that felt.

so darling, shall we?

let's get this show on the road

I wrote a whole post that digs into the differences in a bit more detail, but the long and short of it is this: a virtual assistant is someone you can hand tasks off to, but ultimately you will need to direct and manage yourself, whereas an online business manager is a right-hand woman who will help you manage your business and could, quite literally, run it for you if necessary.

There are a lot of different elements that go into deciding what kind of support you should hire for your business, and it starts with some questions. Think through things like what you want to outsource, your goals in outsourcing, how much control you want to maintain over your business, how hands on or off you want to be, and what your budget's like.

It depends a little bit on the business and what the rest of the team looks like, but the short answer is yes! If you're at a point where hiring a business manager is the best option for your business in the long-term, but you can't also hire a VA, I help bridge the gap as we build your business until you're ready to grow even more.

The short answer is as much as you want me to be! But seriously, part of an OBM's role is to have the ability to legitimately run your business for you, if necessary. I believe there are a few things only you, as the business owner can do the _way_ you do them, and if you want, we can get the business to the point where those are the only things you're doing, unless you want to be doing something else.

While I am a business manager, I'm not a bookkeeper or accountant, so I don't do any finance related things beyond things like invoicing or income projections and planning.

I'm also not an SEO or marketing expert, so I while can provide some thoughts and feedback, it's not an a la carte or official service I offer.

In short, no. When I join your team, it's just me, myself, and I. Ultimately, I believe your business is your business, so while I am happy to provide recommendations for other creatives you may want to add to your team, I believe you should have the final say on who has that much access to your business.

where to next, darling?
