Happy October, friends! It’s hard to believe, but the final quarter of 2019 is officially upon us!
With the start of this final quarter, we’re starting something brand new! If we’re friends on Instagram, you know I took a break for the entirety of Q3. A whole lot happened during that time, both in life, in business, and just in my heart!
What and how and why I share things with y’all, here on the blog, on the YouTube channel, on my email list, and on Instagram is something I did a lot of thinking about and I decided I wanted to implement a bit more personal sharing into what I do here, so with that… I’m introducing a brand new monthly post that will be here on the blog — a little update on the month, along with my Powersheets goals!
This is an opportunity for me to share a bit more with you about my non-business life and an opportunity to share how my Powersheets help me make things happen each month!
September was an absolutely bonkers month. After a pretty chill summer, everything picked back up all at once!
The very first week of the month, I started work with three wonderful new clients, kicked off a new year of student ministry at my church (this is my second year as a high school small group leader), went through Simplified Planner launch week (side note… did you grab yours yet??), and prepped for a weekend lake getaway with the ladies of the young adult ministry at church.
After such a low-key summer, it was a bit of a shock. I basically didn’t sleep for most of the week, but thankfully things stayed full but not overfull after that.
My future hubby and I made a lot of progress in the plans for our wedding and I’m so happy to say things are coming together so well! We’ve had little to no stress thus far and I’m definitely hoping it stays that way!!
I also completed a major personal accomplishment and one of my Powersheets goals for Q3 — my first ever sprint triathlon!
Needless to say, it was quite the start to what is going to be a wonderful, but full next several months! Now onto the goals!
Intuitive Eating Workbook — not sure if y’all have heard of this, but it’s been sitting on my nightstand for months! In October, I’m really committing to some major changes in regard to my health habits and this is one of them!
Read 4 books — didn’t quite happen in September, so it’s going back on the list for October! Picked up two books from the library this week and I’m excited to get back into a good reading rhythm!
Sell 2-3 unwanted items — breaking down the lingering things to sell to make accomplishing it bit by bit a little easier!
Book remaining wedding vendors — just two left, y’all! Just two left!!
Order + address wedding invitations — they’re just about done and I’m mentally preparing my hand for #allthewriting!
Set up Tailwind — didn’t happen last month so it’s the top priority for the biz this month!
Finalize new opt-ins — so close, y’all! And I can’t wait to share it with you!
OCTOBER WEEKLY GOALS
Write a personal blog post — this one is for my personal website… fell out of the groove with my writing over there and it’s time to get back to it!
Note of encouragement — snail mail is my jam, y’all… now that I’ve collected all the addresses for the wedding, it’ll be easy to surprise people. 😉
Blueprint Model homework — just a few more weeks of this last round of the program, but excited for how it’ll help me prepare for 2020!
No solo eating out — I’ve decided it’s just not worth it to spend the money on takeout if I’m not spending time with people… and this will help stay on track with the budget too!
Date w/no wedding talk — if it ain’t broke… don’t fix it! Let’s be honest… this is probably going to continue being a recurring goal until the wedding.
OCTOBER DAILY GOALS
Pray the Bible — I’ve been wanting more depth and consistency in my prayer life and I’m excited to try out this technique!
Yoga — even if it’s just 10 minutes… every day!
Arms & legs challenge — some focused toning & strength building that will add up little by little!
No snooze — instead of attempting to get up at 6am, my goal is to just not hit the snooze button; this way I can still get full nights of sleep (because I really don’t function well with less than 8 hours), but not waste my mornings!
Read for 30 minutes — it’s gonna happen, y’all! We’re getting back into the rhythm!
